Mr William Bloking

William Bloking

Bill is a leading energy expert with more than 32 years of experience in the energy sector with Exxon Corporation and the BHP Billiton Group, and has held senior executive positions in Australia, Asia, South America, and the USA.

Until recently, Bill was President of Australia/Asia Gas at BHP Billiton Petroleum, where he had overall strategic, commercial and corporate accountability for BHP Billiton's international LNG business and its domestic gas business in Australia. From 1999 to 2004, Bill was CEO of BHP Billiton Petroleum (North West Shelf), where he had full responsibility for BHPB's interest in the North West Shelf Project, the Browse LNG Project, and the Pilbara LNG Project.

Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Summa cum Laude) from the University of South Carolina in the USA. He is currently National Vice Chairman of the Australia-China Business Council, Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Director of the Lions Eye Institute and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the UWA Confucius Centre Advisory Board.

Ms Jessie Inman

Jessie Inman

Jessie has more than 20 years experience in international marketing, business development and foreign direct investment. She is well known for her conceptual knowledge and ability to build companies and markets through her expertise in strategic and systematic management.

Her previous employment history includes extensive involvement in the development of Canada's environmental services and technologies industry including international business development in United States, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Jessie has strong leadership qualities which are substantiated by her roles in the management of multi-stakeholder project operations in Indonesia. During her ten years there she held the position of Canada's Investment Advisor to Indonesia and later led the establishment of a complex manufacturing organisation with multiple partners.

Jessie's undergraduate studies were centred on business, international marketing and leadership. She also has a Masters in Business Administration. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ms Aruna Subramanian

Aruna Subramanian

Aruna Subramanian is currently an Investment Principal with Kenda Capital. She joined Shell Technology Ventures as an Analyst in 2005 before becoming an Investment Manager in 2006. Prior to joining STV, Aruna worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services for 11 years in various operational and management roles including her last assignment as the Wireline Operations Manager for Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, and Recruiting and Training Manager for the Middle East and North Africa. She also held operational field roles in the North Sea and Indonesia. Aruna holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.

Mr David Whitby

David Whitby

David has 23 years oil industry experience focussing on management, gas marketing, business development and reservoir engineering. He is currently Managing Director of Nido Petroleum Limited. His prior work experience included appointments as Project Director of the West Java Gas project with Conoco-Phillips in Jakarta, Vice President of Business Development for Gulf Indonesia Resources in Jakarta, Managing Director of Gulf (Australia) Resources in Perth and Vice President of Heavy Oil for Husky Oil in Canada. Prior to entering the oil patch, David was an officer in the Canadian Armed Force military engineering branch.

Dr Ian J Duncan

Ian Duncan

Ian Duncan's industrial experience is diverse, commencing with mechanical engineering applied to Australian chemical, paper and mining industries.

He joined Western Mining Corporation limited in 1971 as Operations Manager, Exploration Division. He had a career in WMC until he retired as General Manager of the large Olympic Dam copper, uranium, gold and silver operation in South Australia.

Due to his involvement in uranium exploration, production and marketing over 25 years, he became aware of the world's nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear power technology. He was Chairman of the London based Uranium Institute (now World's Nuclear Association) 1995-96. Since retirement he completed a doctorate at the University of Oxford which addressed the interface between society and the disposal of radioactive waste. He now consults in this field.
